MediaTec Publishing Inc. Reorganizes Editorial Department
Frauenheim, Tehrani and Whitney promoted to new roles
Chicago, June 7, 2013 — In an effort to utilize personal employee strengths and achieve top-notch efficiency, MediaTec Publishing Inc. has reorganized its editorial department with a combination of new titles, responsibilities and structure. The reorganization is expected to help MediaTec capitalize on both individual talents and company-wide productivity.
“It should come to no surprise that we have been working hard since our acquisition of Workforce to structure our various departments to both gain the greatest efficiencies and to allow everyone the best opportunity to achieve their personal career goals,” said Norm Kamikow, president and editor in chief for MediaTec Publishing Inc.
Responsible for the development of content in various core areas across all four of MediaTec’s publications (Chief Learning Officer, Diversity Executive, Talent Management andWorkforce), Kellye Whitney and Ed Frauenheim will now share the title of group editor, associate editorial director. Managing Editor Rick Bell will handle coverage of benefits, compensation and legal issues. All report to Mike Prokopeak, vice president, editorial director.
As senior editors, Deanna Hartley will cover learning, succession planning and technology, and Rita Pyrillis will cover benefits, diversity and management. In addition, James Tehrani has been promoted to assistant managing editor, handling employee engagement and talent acquisition, as well as managing all editorial production processes for each magazine. This will include all content editing, copy editing and publishing. Under the supervision of Whitney, Frauenheim and Bell, associate editors Frank Kalman, Ladan Nikravan and Max Mihelich will each handle the content development of specific core areas.
