Conducting background checks carries a great deal of risk for employers. An inaccurate background report that leads to a candidate being passed over for an open position can land an employer in the middle of a costly lawsuit.

To mitigate the risk associated with background checks, iReviewNow developed a transparent system that allows job candidates to see their report at the same time as their potential employer, providing the chance to authenticate the report’s accuracy, dispute inaccuracies and explain previous convictions and rehabilitiReviewNowations.
The transparent background checking system iReviewNow allows employers to ensure their hiring process is fair and free of discrimination.

“The labor market expands when consumers ensure the accuracy of their consumer reports, explain mistakes, and highlight rehabilitation,” wrote Steven Millwee, president and CEO of Athens, Georgia-based SecurTest Inc., the parent company of iReviewNow, in its application. Likewise, “employers and users expand a brand of fairness and transparency. The end result is informed employers, users, employees, applicants and consumers while eliminating costly litigation and frustration.”

IReviewNow states its clients have never had to face a lawsuit stemming from the use of the company’s product, and it has experienced an average annual growth of 300 percent for the past four years.

For its background-checking system, iReviewNow is the winner of the silver Optimas Award for Innovation.
