Way back in 2012, Brent Wagner was an intern at Paycor Inc.
Today, he’s a senior service analyst at the cloud-based HR software-maker.
We know what you’re thinking … “Geez, what took him so long?”
During his tenure, he has already created the Paycor MBA program for young professionals in the organization looking to develop their business chops. As of June, 75 associates had earned the degree. The one-year program allows younger workers to learn from some of their more experienced colleagues in the company. Learning areas include: Paycor economics, product strategy, technology and organizational development.
Wagner, 23, recruits executives to teach the classes and helps them plan the content. He also secures the classroom locations and gets the necessary equipment.
In her nomination letter, Karen Crone, Paycor’s chief human resources officer, simply said, “Young leaders like Brent are reshaping human resources and employee development.”
Incidentally, there’s no truth to the rumor that Wagner became Paycor’s CEO during the time it took you to read this profile.
