People moving into key executive positions

Wil Gaitan has joined the Chicago office of Aon Consulting Worldwide as senior vice president in the global benefits practice. Gaitan previously held several positions at Buck Consultants, including national director of global consulting in New York, and principal in Buck’s Madrid, Spain; Brussels, Belgium; and Chicago offices.

Michael Shunney has been named president of Sun Life Financial Distributors. With this appointment, Shunney will also serve as senior vice president and general manager of the newly formed Sun Life U.S. Distribution Group. He previously worked as senior vice president and general manager of Sun Life’s U.S. employee benefits group.

Lu Qiang has been named general manager of Shanghai-based Right Management Greater China. He previously served as Right Management’s country manager for China. Prior to joining Right Management, Qiang worked as a human resource consultant for Mercer and Right & Resource Consulting.

Janet Whitehouse has been promoted to senior vice president and general manager of the employee benefits group division at Sun Life Financial. She previously served as senior vice president of human resources and public relations at Sun Life. Prior to joining Sun Life, White held several executive positions at UNUM Corp.

Li Tong "Ronnie" Tan has been named general manager of ASEAN and Korea at Right Management. Prior to joining Right Management, Tan was vice president and managing director of the Asian Region at DDI.

Ana Dutra has been named CEO of the leadership development solutions group at Korn/Ferry International. She recently served as managing director of the organization strategy practice at Accenture. Prior to joining Accenture, Dutra worked at Mercer Management Consulting and held previous consulting positions at Marakon Associates, CNA Consulting Group, CSC Index and IBM.

Tony Marzulli has been named chief marketing officer at Workscape. Most recently, Marzulli was senior vice president of products and marketing at Workbrain. He previously worked as senior vice president of global marketing at Citrix Software, vice president of software marketing at EMC Corp. and senior vice president of marketing at Lawson Software.

William Wolfe has been named vice president of operations at LifeCare. Prior to joining LifeCare, Wolfe was operations director for the contact center operations support group at Cigna. He previously served as vice president of customer service with National Westminster Bank Corp. and as a vice president in the job training services area at ITT Corp.

Christine Wichers has been named president of the board of trustees of the Women’s Bar Foundation of Massachusetts. She is a partner in the labor, employment and benefits group at Choate, Hall & Stewart in Boston, where she practices employment litigation and counseling.

Erin Peterson has been named leader of global talent acquisition at Hewitt Associates. Prior to joining Hewitt, she was a partner at Lantern Partners. She previously served as a director of U.S., Europe and India recruitment operations at Accenture and Accenture HR Services.

Brandon Conroy has been named a director in the Pittsburgh office of Buck Consultants. Prior to joining Buck Consultants, Conroy served as actuary at UPMC Health Plan. 

Jen Mazza has been named director of client and candidate relations at Carlsen Resources. She previously held several positions in candidate recruitment, marketing and research at Carlsen.

WorldatWork recently announced
several appointments and promotions:

Don Griffith has been named vice president of strategy and public relations. Prior to joining WorldatWork, Griffith led employee and dealer communications for U-Haul International and previously served as a staff member in the U.S. Congress.
Greg Nelson has been named vice president and CFO. Prior to joining WorldatWork, Nelson held senior financial positions at Excell Global Services and Alcoa.
Betty Scharfman has been named vice president of marketing and channel management. She previously served as a director. Prior to joining WorldatWork, Scharfman held various senior executive roles at Bank One.
Bonnie Kabin has been named vice president of professional development. She previously served as a director.
Dan Dever has been promoted to associate director of business development. Prior to joining WorldatWork, Dever was senior vice president for business development at Ascendix.

Sean Bartlett has been named director of out-of-network strategies at Meritain Health. Bartlett has held several positions at Meritain and most recently served as manager of Meritain’s cost management department.

Stephen Hultquist has been named chief information officer at BridgeHealth International. Prior to joining BridgeHealth, Hultquist was vice president of operations at Roving Planet. He previously served as chief technology officer and vice president of engineering and operations at Accumedia, and co-founded the Internet advisory board at IBM.

Brian S. Greig has been named leader of the global labor and employment law practice at Fulbright & Jaworski. He previously served as a partner in the firm’s Austin, Texas, office. He currently serves as editor in chief of the Texas Employment Law Handbook—A Guide for Employers, an annual publication by the Texas Association of Business.

David Barra has been named chief financial officer of ULLICO. Barra previously held several positions at Conseco, most recently serving as senior finance officer. Prior to joining Conseco, Barra was senior audit manager with the former Price Waterhouse.

Rod Amos has been named manager of international military operations at Bekins International Group. He previously held a similar position at Gateways International.

Kristin Hinchcliff has been promoted to senior vice president in the Chicago office of Insidedge. She previously served as a project manager.

The Aerospace Corp. recently made several appointments:
Charlotte Lazar-Morrison has been promoted to general manager of the human resources division. She previously served as principal director of human resources.
S. Scott Gustafson has been appointed associate general manager of the Space Based Infrared Surveillance (SBIRS) GEO-1 program. He previously served as principal director of the SBIRS High Space Segment.
Jimmy Kane has been named a principal director, managing the Office of the Director of National Intelligence Directorate, Advanced Technology Division. He previously worked as systems director in the planning and communications division.
Andrew Quintero has been named a principal director, leading the Office of Intellectual Property Management. He previously worked as a senior engineering specialist.
