People moving into key executive positions

Bruce Pfau has been named to the additional role of office managing partner of KPMG’s Montvale, NJ firm. Pfau is currently the vice chair of human resources. Pfau joined KPMG as vice chair of human resources in 2004 and has more than 20 years of experience in the human resources field.
ES Chandramouli has been named managing director for Crown Worldwide’s South Asia branch. Chandramouli established Crown in India and today oversees operations in ten cities throughout India including six full-service branches
Karl Grass has been promoted to senior vice president and general manager for Sage Software’s specialized business solutions unit. Grass previously served as vice president and general manager for the company’s HRMS and payroll services businesses. Before joining Sage Software in February 2006, Grass was vice president and general manager of Intuit’s professional tax group.
Ward Russell has been appointed president of The Todd Organization. Russell served as senior vice president and chief distribution officer at The Todd Organization prior to his promotion.
Victor Arias Jr. has been appointed to co-managing partner of Heidrick & Struggles diversity services practice in the Americas. Arias joined the firm in 2004 as a partner in the Dallas and Mexico City offices.

Ed Greenbaum has joined as sales director for the southeast region of Aon Consulting business. He has held positions on the board of Washington Technical Professionals Forum and The Virginia and Baltimore Society for Human Resource Management chapters.

Michael J. Volpe has been named as a partner in the New York offices of Venable LLP. Volpe is a veteran management-side litigator with extensive trial experience.

William Topper has been named vice president of operations for outsourced benefits administration at Workscape. Topper joined Workscape following a 17-year career at ADP, where he was vice president of the company’s employer services group.

Doug Matthews has returned to working full time at Right Management as executive vice president of operations. He had operated on a part-time basis for the past six months. He previously was executive vice president for the Americas at Right Management.

Tamara Webster has been appointed as staffing manager at HR Answers Inc. Webster has 12 years of experience in business development, staffing and recruiting.

Michael C. Hyter has been named CEO of Novations Group Inc. Hyter has been president of Novations since 2005. He joined Novations in 1996 from Dayton Hudson Marshall Field, where he was vice president. Hyter is also a longtime member of the Executive Leadership Council.

Bruce R. Lasko has been appointed as communication partner of human capital initiatives at Avaya.

Tim Reichardt has been appointed director of wellness for ACI’s AppleCore program. Prior to joining ACI he was health and fitness director for the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA and taught physical education at North Carolina State University.

Wayne Beaubian joins Hudson North America as executive vice president for financial solutions. Beaubian has ten years experience with leading specialized professional services and staffing organizations.

Steven Meholic has been appointed as head of Aetna Pharmacy Management. Meholic most recently served as vice president for specialty products at Magellan Health Services.

Robin Bassett has joined as vice president of sales for RELO Direct.

David Smith has been named vice president of client services for RELO Direct.

Charles Anderson has joined as managing director of special projects for The Waters Consulting Group. Anderson is former executive director for The Dallas Area Rapid Transit.

Teodoro Benavides has been named managing director for the Waters Consulting Group. Benaides is former Dallas city manager.

Jeri Gillespie has been appointed as vice president of human resources policy for The National Association of Manufactures. Gillespie has served in a variety of posts with the NCR Corporation for more than ten years. Most recently he was director of government affairs.

Kristy Arciszewski has joined Buck consultants as director of the health and welfare consulting practice in the St. Louis office. Arciszewski comes from United Healthcare where she served as strategic account executive. 

Tony Balfour has been appointed as president of Monster Worldwide’s Asia Pacific region. Most recently, he was the director of marketing for SEEK. Prior to joining SEEK in 2005 Balfour spent almost ten years with Nike, Inc., where he held general management positions.

Karen Choy-Xavier has joined Heidrick & Struggles as partner in the industrial and technology practices. Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Choy-Xavier spent 10 years with Spencer Stuart as a partner. She has 18 years of experience in the executive search field.

Patrick Gross has been appointed to the board of directors for Taleo. Gross is chairman of the Lovell Group and has more than 35 years of business management experience.

Todd Forest has been named chief marketing officer at Market10. Prior to joining Market10, Forest held several consumer-marketing positions at AOL. Before this he served in senior brand management positions at Nike and Sara Lee.
