You may know that employees may be eligible to take FMLA leave if they’ve worked for their employer for at least 12 months and have worked for at least 1,250 hours over the previous 12 months.

You also may know that the law applies to companies with at least 50 employees. But does this mean 50 employees at the location where the employee works, or 50 employees total?

Generally, to be eligible for the FMLA, an employee must work at a location where at least 50 employees are employed by the employer within 75 miles.
