The best way to motivate your telesales staff on a day-to-day basis is tokeep track of sales and encourage them to work for small and -- sometimes not sosmall -- incentives. Your supervisors also must be well trained in the art ofappreciation and recognition, so that your front-line people receive "attaboys"when they deserve them.
Nowhere is creating fun in the workplace more important that in the telesalesarena. The repetitive nature of the work requires a persistence and ability tohandle rejection that few, if any, other job functions require. Thus, creating afun environment is vital to preventing burnout and keeping morale high.
