The 2013 Optimas Award Winners

We are pleased to announce the winners of the 2013 Optimas Awards for exemplary achievements in workforce management.

December 10, 2013

A rebounding economy means that the competition for talent is growing, and a coming wave of retirements among baby boomers means that the workplace will see some dramatic changes. These trends and others, like escalating health care costs and expanding global markets, pose both challenges and opportunities for employers. Our winners have found unique ways to manage these changes.

These companies are redefining leadership with innovative training programs, using technology to speed up recruiting when demand arises and finding unique ways to develop global talent. One employer is tackling a tough issue that many businesses face today — controlling health care costs — through collaboration with employees and retirees. While connecting these programs to financial results is key, one employer is finding that behaving ethically also gives businesses a competitive edge.

Each winner has come up with meaningful solutions to workplace challenges and some, like our General Excellence winner, have found ways to affect not only their companies, but also their communities as well.

We applaud all the Optimas Award winners for their efforts, and we look forward to seeing your entries in next year’s competition. (See competition details at Workforce.com/optimas).
