When Bayer Corp. employees have a headache about a seeming ethical lapse at work, they can call Melissa Cameron for relief. An attorney by training, Cameron in March took over the ombudsman role for the life science firm’s North American operations. That means 16,600 employees can contact her confidentially to blow the whistle on bad behavior and discuss other workplace issues. She spoke recently with Workforce Management senior writer Ed Frauenheim.
