Heidrick & Struggles Snaps Up Recruiter Specializing in Investment Professionals

August 14, 2008
Heidrick & Struggles International has acquired 75 Search Partners, a boutique executive search firm specializing in global recruitment of senior investment professionals.

Julie Creed, vice president of investor relations at Heidrick & Struggles, declined to disclose terms of the deal.

Lisa DeConto and Scott Vierra, co-founders and managing partners of 75 Search Partners, will join Heidrick & Struggles as partners and report to Paul Legvold, asset management sector leader, Creed said.

The two were senior vice presidents at Putnam Investments, managing its internal recruiting, before founding their firm in 2004. 75 Search Partners will be closed, and two other employees also will join Heidrick & Struggles.

“Building this sector is a strategic initiative for our financial services practice,” Legvold said in a statement. “The 75 Search Partners team enhances our capabilities within our asset management sector and also increases our presence in the Boston market.”
