<i>Dear Workforce</i> How Do I Sell Human Resources as a Vital Contributor When Rolling Out a Retention Program

I work at an insurance company in human resources. I’m part of a leadership team consisting of 10 senior managers in various functional areas. Recently, a retention program was put in place for the leadership team, and I was the only one excluded. I sense that the individual leading the initiative doesn’t feel that human resources is needed on-site any longer, and that it can be supported from another location in the organization. I report to corporate human resources, not this individual. Still, how do I open a dialogue to get this person to share her thinking with me?
