Reform’s Impact on Employer Health Benefits
The keynote session will preview the results of a 2012 survey that
examines employers’ views regarding the Patient Protection and
Affordable Care Act. It will uncover the strategies and direction many
of the country’s top employers have implemented to adopt and
communicate the Health Benefits changes in their organization.
The Affordable Care Act, more commonly referred to as health care
reform, was signed into law in March 2010 and made sweeping changes to
existing laws governing employer-sponsored group health plans,
individual health coverage and governmental health programs that will
implemented during the next several years. Since its passage,
employers have scrambled to understand the new laws and develop
strategies for complying with the various provisions despite a looming
Supreme Court challenge to health care reform.
Don’t miss this keynote address to benchmark your company’s strategies
and direction against other leading employers.
The 2012 survey was conducted by AonHewitt, Business Insurance, Buck
Consultants, Midwest Business Group on Health, the National Business
Coalition on Health, and Workforce Management.

Effective Incentive
Practices:
How Integration Maximizes your Employee Health Strategy
Incentives are an important part of any employee health management
strategy. But managing your reward structure to improve program
engagement is no easy task. According to a recent Virgin HealthMiles
survey of HR professionals, 43% say managing multiple incentives is
their biggest challenge in creating health programs.
Join experts from Virgin HealthMiles and Howard County Public School
System (HCPSS) for best practices and a real-world incentive strategy
case study. You’ll discover how the centralized management of
incentives can help you review results, add programs and change
rewards structures as your health and wellness strategies evolve.
Topics Include:
- How incentives will improve the
impact of your overall health and wellness strategies.
- How integrating incentives can
maximize your budget, improve reporting and drive participation in
your programs.
- A real-world example to demonstrate
how you can successfully tie rewards to program participation and
healthy behavior change.

Move to Health: Delivering
Well-Being within a Well-Being Company
Employers look to their well-being partners to work with them to
develop programs that will improve the well-being of their
populations. What happens when a well-being partner looks at its own
employee population through the lens of an employer? How does a
well-being partner turn its focus internally to address the well-being
of its own employees?
Join us as Erick Shrauger, Healthways Leader for Benefits and
Well-Being, shares Healthways experience as an employer implementing a
comprehensive well-being program. The Move to Health program
integrates targeted health improvement programs with innovative
improvements to the daily operation of the organization to create a
culture that recognizes, talks about and embraces well-being.
