I am interested in finding out what other companies do when an employee does not submit their FMLA and/or short-term disability paperwork. I send 2 packages before forwarding the case to our Employee Relations Department. But many times, supervisors allow the employee to return to work and I am told after they start working. Do any companies considered this a performance issue (not completing paperwork) and do you take disciplinary action?
Thanks for your advice!
