Best practices for Vacation Notice Period
I am looking for feedback on what are your companies policies regarding notice period for vacation for hourly workers. We have a 2 week notice period before one can take vacation. Just looking to see if we are overly harsh or lenient. We are a small manufacturing company. I have heard of companies where you have to plan a year ahead (ie need to turn in your vacation request at the beginning of the calendar year and by seniority), and do not wish to go that route.
