Have any of you obtained recruiting certifications? I am interested in getting certified, but don't know which ones are the most recognized. I recruit mostly mid to high level contract and fulltime positions in the IT industry, though not always technical positions. Do you know of any resources concerning this? Thanks.

Try the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS). They are the certifying authority in the search industry.

AIRS also offers a certification: the CIR or Certified Internet Recruiter. You can get more information online at www.airsdirectory.com.

Good luck!

You may also want to check out DDI's Targeted Selection. It is a behavioral based interview technique in which recruiters can be certified. It is particularly useful if you are a corporate recruiter.
