People moving into key executive positions

Debra Palermino has been promoted to senior vice president of human resources at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. Palermino joined MassMutual in 2006 as senior vice president of corporate human resources. Before coming to MassMutual, she was founder and principal of PAL Associates. Prior to this, she worked for Chubb and Aetna in various HR roles.

Ed Emde has joined Wilson Learning Corp. as senior vice president. Most recently, he was with Ninth House as senior account executive. Prior to this, Emde worked at BlessingWhite as president and CEO. He has also worked at McLagan International as regional director.

Siddharth N. "Bobby" Mehta has been appointed president and CEO of TransUnion. He was CEO of HSBC North America and former chairman and CEO of HSBC Finance Corp. Prior to HSBC, Mehta was senior vice president at Boston Consulting Group.

Robert Goodman has joined SelectMinds’ board of directors. Goodman is managing director at Bessemer Venture Partners.

Alex Ferrara has joined SelectMinds’ board of directors. Ferrara is vice president at Bessemer Venture Partners

Brian Angle has joined Vormittag Associates as vice president of sales and marketing. Most recently, Angle was vice president of sales and marketing at CMS Software.

Kim Froggatt has joined Prudential Financial as managing director for the Asia-Pacific region. Most recently, she was vice president at Primacy Relocation and previously served as vice president of global services.

Gregg Bjork has been named executive vice president of sales at HotGigs Inc. Most recently, he was managing director of Vallon.

William Weaver has joined CDW Corp. as group vice president of medium- and large-segment sales. Most recently, Weaver served as vice president of the technology solutions group at Hewlett-Packard.

Harry Gambill has joined TransUnion as vice president of the board of directors. Previously, Gambill served as the company’s CEO.

Thomas Chuba has joined Buck Consultants as principal in its Pittsburgh office. Chuba joins Buck from Aetna, where he served as regional sales vice president of its government and labor division.

Carlos Diaz has joined Meta4 as vice president of pan-America and global accounts officer. Diaz joined Meta4 in 2000. During the past five years he was head of sales in Mexico and other countries. Most recently, he was appointed director of pan-America operations.

Todd Hanson has joined Buck Consultants as principal and market leader in its Minneapolis office. Most recently, he was with Mercer as principal and advisory leader for Mercer Health and Benefits.

Christina Hogan has been promoted to vice president of marketing at Crdentia Corp. Hogan joined Crdentia in July 2006 as Web content manager. In December 2006 she was promoted to director of marketing. Previously, Hogan was with Campbell-Ewald Advertising as supervisor/ project manager.

Thierry de Beyssac has been appointed leader of the Latin American consulting business at Hewitt. Prior to his appointment, Beyssac led sales, marketing and branding efforts for Hewitt’s European region.

Robert Gordon has been appointed chairman and COO of Talent Technology.

Deborah Ruffins has joined Buck Consultants as director and vice president of marketing. Most recently, she was director of sales strategy at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Rob Goren has joined Buck Consultants as director in its Atlanta office. Goren joins Buck from CompBenefits Corp., where he was vice president and actuary.

Constance Kassouf has joined CTPartners’ global financial services practice as a partner. Most recently, she was a partner at Westwood Partners.

Linda Ulrich has joined Buck Consultants as director in its Secaucus, New Jersey, office. Most recently, she was with MassMutual Financial Group, where she served as director of compensation for the U.S. insurance group.

Jay Forbes has been named president at Ingram Micro EMEA. Most recently, he was president and CEO of Aliant. Before this, he was executive vice president and CFO of Oxford Properties Group.

Brian F. Keenan has been named executive vice president of human resources at Science Applications International Corp. Keenan has been with SAIC for seven years, most recently serving as vice president and director of U.S. HR operations. Prior to this, he was Eastern region HR director. Before SAIC, he was with Mobil and ExxonMobil for 15 years in various HR roles.

Peggy H. Eddens has joined WSFS Financial Corp. as executive vice president and director of human capital management. Most recently, she was senior vice president of human resources and development at NexTier Bank. Prior to NexTier, Eddens was with Citizens Bank as first vice president and regional human resources director.

Mary E. Power has been named executive director of the Human Resource Certification Institute. Power joins HRCI from the Convention Industry Council, where she was president and CEO.

Eamonn Kennedy has joined NelsonHall as research manager. Prior to joining NelsonHall, Kennedy was a client partner and principal analyst at Ovum.

Mark Miller has joined WhittmanHart as managing director of the national Oracle practice and joins the executive operating committee. Most recently, he was partner at Computer Sciences Corp.

Graham Chalfant has been named COO of 821 Entertainment. Most recently, he was senior vice president and national practice leader of Wachovia Corp.

Tessa Atkins has joined 821 Entertainment as director of marketing and business development. Prior to joining 821, Atkins was director of the Nashville Film Office.

Denise Johnson has joined 821 Entertainment as manager of special projects. Most recently, she was director of sales and new media for Show Dog Nashville.

Carrie Simons has joined 821 Entertainment as vice president of communications. Most recently, she was senior director of corporate entertainment at BWR Public Relations.

Jim McCaw has joined Eedo Knowledgeware as CFO. Prior to joining Eedo, McCaw was with KPMG for 21 years, most recently serving as partner in the advisory practice and senior vice president and director of KPMG Corporate Finance.

Dr. Xiao Yue Chen has been named independent member to the board of directors at 51job. Chen is the director of the Institute of Accountancy of Tsinghua University, a senior consultant of Beijing National Accounting Institute, a member of the Standing Committee of Accounting Society of China and vice president of the China Appraisal Society.

Richard Boulton has joined LECG as head of its global financial and accounting services group. Boulton joined the company in 2002 after 20 years at Arthur Andersen as global practice leader and manager.

Karen Bowman has been named general counsel and secretary of Convergys. Previously, Bowman was president of employee care and general counsel to Convergys’ customer management group.

John Gibson has been named president of employee care client services at Convergys. Previously, Gibson was global program executive for client services and senior vice president of global operations in employee care at Convergys.

Alex Berry has been named senior vice president of employee care client services at Convergys. Previously, Berry was vice president of worldwide sales for employee care and vice president of sales for Convergys’ communications, automotive and technology group.

Claire Best has been named president of Sandra Marsh Management, which is changing its name to Marsh, Best & Associates. Sandra Marsh will remain chairwoman and CFO. Best had been COO since 2002. Prior to joining Marsh, Best spent five years as physical production executive at New Line Cinema.

Elaine Orler has been named vice president of talent acquisition management at Knowledge Infusion.

Willard Smith has been named recruiting and resourcing global practice leader at Convergys. Smith joined Convergys from ACS, where he was global solution architect. Before that, he served as director of operations and director of solution design for RPO engagements at Spherion.
