People moving into key executive positions

Diane Frisch has been named vice president of human resources in the global pharmaceutical packaging division at Alcan Packaging. She also serves as vice president of HR and communications at Alcan’s food Americas division. Frisch previously was vice president of HR at Culligan and Alumax.

Lisa Clune has been named president at Kaplan EduNeering. She recently served as the company’s senior vice president and chief technology officer. Clune previously was director of corporate applications at Tyco International, business systems director at General Electric Healthcare, SAP global team U.S. manager at Amersham Health and project manager at Hoffmann-LaRoche.

 

Mike Ettling has been named CEO of NorthgateArinso. He joins the company from Unisys, where he served as vice president and general manager of global business process outsourcing strategy and operations and for global outsourcing and infrastructure services in Continental Europe. Ettling previously worked as managing director of Australia and New Zealand and vice president of outsourcing for Asia Pacific at Unisys, managing director at Synstar and regional vice president at EDS BPM in the U.K.

MaryAnn Miller has been named chief human resources officer of Avnet, where she is responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of Avnet’s global human resources and organizational development teams. Previously, Miller served as senior vice president of global human resources for the company.

Yvette Bright has been named senior vice president of human resources and administration at Independence Blue Cross. She also serves as chief administrative officer. She previously served as senior vice president of e-business and operations for Independence. Bright joined the organization in 1991.

Pat Rushton has been named senior vice president of quality, global integration and strategy for TharpeRobbins. Rushton will be responsible for overall quality efforts and also will identify and implement best practices to streamline the supply chain and support operational excellence throughout the company.

Buck Consultants recently made these appointments:
Bruce Spiegel has been named a principal and leader of the firm’s global survey resources. He recently served as senior leader of the survey practice at Remedy Compensation Consulting. Spiegel previously worked as managing director at Innovacomp, managing principal at Workscape, and vice principal of global compensation services and manager of the Global Compensation Services Center of Excellence at ACS.
Lisa Zeitel has been named a principal in the firm’s Stamford, Connecticut, office. She recently served as a principal at Mercer. Dean Aloise has been named a principal and retirement practice leader in the firm’s Pittsburgh office. He recently served as a principal at Mercer.
Monica Stellato has been named a director in the firm’s Secaucus, New Jersey, office. She recently served as team lead for the health management consultant division and program management office at Hewitt Associates.
Kathi Myers has been named a director in the firm’s compensation consulting practice. She recently served as director of compensation at Coinstar.

Luis Ramos has been named CEO of The Network. He previously was the company’s COO, senior vice president of operations and technology, and vice president of risk management services. Prior to joining The Network, Ramos worked as director of operations at ADP.

Ryan M. Johnson
has been named vice president, publishing and community. He recently served as the organization’s director of information development and public affairs. Johnson previously worked as senior policy analyst at the Morrison Institute for Public Policy at Arizona State University, research analyst at the Institute for Strategy Development and as an aide for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Small Business.
Adam Sorensen has been named senior practice leader. He recently served as global work/life manager at Intel Corp.
Marcia Rhodes has been named manager of public relations and organizational communications. She previously worked as senior marketing communications manager for the government and education practice at Accenture, and as vice president of marketing and communications at Six Sigma Academy.

Caroline Hoenk has been named vice president in the Chicago office of Insidedge. She recently served as a vice president at FD.

Kevin Grossman has been named president of HRmarketer.com. He recently served as COO.

Theresa A. Marchlewski has been named a partner in the Los Angeles office of Jackson Lewis. She recently served as assistant general counsel at Washington Mutual Bank.

Kyle Bailey has been named vice president and producer at Lockton Dunning Benefits. He recently served as principal and senior consultant at Mercer. Bailey previously worked as principal at Benefit Partners, assistant vice president at HRH Insurance and as an underwriter at Lumberman’s Underwriting.

James Hires has been named vice president of software development at iJET Intelligent Risk Systems. He recently served as technology consultant. Hires previously worked as development manager at Arbitron.

Teresa Bartlett has been named senior vice president and medical director at Sedgwick Claims Management Services. She recently served as senior manger for integrated health care and disability medical programs at Chrysler.
