People moving into key executive positions

Matthew W. Schuyler has been named executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Hilton Hotels Corp. He recently served as chief HR officer at Capital One Financial Corp. Schuyler previously was vice president of HR at Cisco Systems and a partner in the global HR group at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Patricia Insley has been named vice president of human resources at Lincoln Financial Distributors. She recently served as vice president of HR in the global business services unit of Thomson Reuters. Insley previously was a senior HR manager and account manager at Thomson Healthcare and a benefits consultant at ARCO.

R. Larry Brown has been named of counsel in the Memphis, Tennessee, office of Jackson Lewis. He recently served as senior vice president and chief human resources officer at FedEx. Brown previously was managing director of litigation at FedEx, an assistant U.S. attorney for the Western District of Tennessee and a supervisory trial attorney for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Sandy McCarthy has been named retirement business leader for the U.S. outsourcing business at Mercer. She recently served as president of ING Institutional Plan Services. McCarthy previously was a founder and president at CitiStreet and held senior-level positions at State Street Global Advisors and Fidelity Investments.

CTPartners recently made two new appointments:

Hamish Shaw has been named a partner in the technology, media and telecom practice. He recently served as a senior client partner at Korn/Ferry International. Shaw began his search career at Heidrick & Struggles.
Loran Kaminsky has been named a partner, specializing in professional IT services, software and the Internet. He recently served as a client partner at Korn/Ferry International. Prior to joining the search industry, Kaminsky worked at Ernst & Young, Portal Software and PeopleSoft.

Kathleen Sack has been named a principal in the leadership and talent consulting group in the Atlanta office of Korn/Ferry International. She recently served as president at TLP Consulting. Sack previously was director of learning programs at Tyco International.

Lori Schultz has been named president at Yoh, a division of Day & Zimmermann. She recently served as senior vice president at Ajilon Consulting. Schultz previously was senior vice president of the engineering and technical division and the medical and science division at Adecco.

Aon Consulting recently made two new appointments:

Paul Berger has been named chief medical officer in the health and benefits practice. He recently served as team leader for clinical innovations and partnerships and manager of clinical activities for commercial, government and health plan market segments at SHPS.
Eugene Oppo has been named senior vice president and retirement practice leader of the Northeast region. He recently served as a partner at Mercer, redesigning pension, retiree medical and defined-contribution programs.

The Segal Co. recently announced these appointments:

Frank Carofano has been named vice president of Segal Advisors. He recently served as the company’s director of investment operations and technology.
Randolph B. Carter has been named senior vice president. He recently served as vice president of the company’s national communications practice.
Howard Goldsmith has been named senior vice president. He recently served as a vice president in the company’s defined-contribution practice, which he joined as an administrator.
Claire F. Crawford has been named vice president and senior consultant. She recently served as a senior consultant in the company’s national communications practice.
Frederick C. Herberich has been named vice president and benefits consultant. He recently served as a benefits consultant for the company’s multi-employer pension and group health plan clients in California and the Northwest.
Jennifer K. Schuster has been named vice president and senior consultant. He recently served as a communications consultant for the West region.
Susan R. Thompson has been named vice president and East region compliance practice coordinator and Crosscheck manager. She recently served as regional compliance practice coordinator in the East region.
