The 2002 CCH Unscheduled Absence Survey surveyed 333 human resources executives
in U.S. companies and organizations of all sizes. It reflects experiences of
randomly polled organizations with an estimated total of nearly two million
employees.
On a scale of one to five, with five being the most effective, human resource
professionals ranked Alternative Work Arrangements (3.6), Compressed Work Week
(3.5), Leave for School Functions (3.3) and On-Site Child Care (3.3) among this
year’s top work-life programs.
