APPLICANT TRACKING SYSTEM SOFTWARE PROVIDERS

Research firm Gartner reports that what it terms the "e-recruitment software" market is growing at a strong pace. In 2006, it estimated that total revenue grew more than 12 percent, to $410 million. In its June 2008 report on the market, Gartner said similar or slightly higher growth rates were expected last year, but offered no predictions for 2008. Gartner observed that customers for these systems "are ready to move beyond basic recruiting automation toward overall effectiveness."
