For this list, Workforce Management based its definition of e-recruiting software on the work of Gartner and Bersin and Associates. Gartner and Bersin describe these as systems with applicant tracking capabilities, including the ability to store and search through résumés or other types of candidate profiles.
To be considered for the list, the systems were required to have several of the following additional functions: workforce planning capabilities, requisition management, job-board postings, career site branding, candidate assessment capabilities, online employee referrals, interview management, data reporting functionality and tools for compliance with EEO and OFCCP regulations.
