We currently have a schedule for benefits for Short Term Disabilty based on years of service. Do you have a similar schedule for Worker's Compensation, if not how do you determine the amount of compensation a person receives while out on WC?

State laws typically dictate the amount of disability benefits an injured employee receives. Your work comp carrier should be able to give you a list of regulations for your state. In IL the benefits are 2/3 of the employee's average weekly wages up to a specific maximum.

State law in NJ requires that the employee receives 70% of their wages. I am looking to find out if most company's follow just the state law, provide 100% of the employee's salary or have a benefit based on years of employment with the company with the minimum benefit equal to the state requirement. Does your company just provide the minimum requirement from the state?
