Average increases

If anyone else who posts here happens to be in th manufacturing/plant operations business please help on this issue.

We just gave out the hourly annual increases - needless to say many people were not happy. The increases range from .25/hr to $2.00/hr. The average pay rate in the plant is $8.50/hr
Plus tons of benefits and incentive programs. Am I feeling guilty for nothing?
