Light Duty
Exchange ideas about health plans, retirement, work/life benefits, and employee assistance.
Would anyone be willing to share the average length of time companies generally allow for (or tolerate) light duty work? We are looking to put in a policy and this information would be helpful. Thanks

We recommend light duty be limited to 3 months maximum. The tasks the employee does should be incrementally more challenging during that time, so the person can work their way back to full functional capacity. Ideally you want to get them back to their own department as soon as capabilities allow.
