We are a 90 employee software (IT/IS) company (pre-IPO) looking to enhance our vacation policy.
We currently offer 10 days vacation, 3 floating holidays and 7 designated holidays.
Sick days are taken on an as needed bases.
I am interested to know what as an overall vacation policy would be competitive especially in our industry.
If anyone could please share details of their vacation policy I would be very grateful. Thanks

We are a 40 employee IT company pre-ipo. We offer a PTO plan that covers vacation, sick and personal time. Employees get 17 days to start; in their fifth year of employment it is upped to 22. We also offer 9 paid holidays.

Hi,
how do your people accrue their vacation, sick, etc. Is it 10 days vac after 1 year, or do they earn on a monthly, or on a per pay period basis?
We have offered .66 days per month for the first year; plus 12 paid holidays. However, I think we need to change it to .7 or .75 days per month. Please let me know. We are also pre ipo, 40 employees.

They accrue it on a monthly basis. Employees in their first year start accruing on day one (pro-rated against their start date) but they cannot take any until they've been with us 90 days.
