I am currently researching the concept of 'employee wellness' for the future implementation in an organisation dealing primarily with emercency care. I was wondering if there is anyone in the same/similar industry that has any experience or knowledge about the development, implementation and evaluation of such a scheme. Particularly, does anyone know where I can find consultants which may handle this process, within Western Australia.
Any ideas or information about how to keep employees happy and healthy, please let me know!

We have a Wellness Program. Each month we have wellness focus. Some of the topics include: walking, cancer prevention, healthy heart, diet & nutrition, back safety, weight control. We hold different functions regarding the specific topic, such as: cholesterol screening, blood pressure checks, Lifting techniques & ergonomics class, Flu shots, fitness tips, eating & nutrition tips. Another special program this year was a "digi-walker Program" A digi-walker is a pedometer which counts your steps. The goal is to walk 10,000 steps a day for better health! We handed out"Digi-walkers" to any employee who was interested in their health. The employees keep track of their steps and we give out prizes for special achievements. Walking is known to be good for your health.
