Has anyone implemented a program to pay employees who are covered by another health plan? Pay them a fee so they do not sign up for your health insurance "just because".

Why can't you have a rule that people can only be covered by one health plan? This seems reasonable to me. We have that rule and there's never been a problem.

We don't have that problem, mostly because there is a cost to the employee for signing up on our company extended health benefits. The costs are shared 50/50 and this provides enough incentive that if the employee is already covered, they will not sign-up 'just because'.
