Our small company of 35 employees recently opened a subsidiary in Europe. We are sending one of our young U.S. employees (a 25 year-old citizen) to work at this subsidiary. Can this employee continue

International 401K????

Our small company of 35 employees recently opened a subsidiary in Europe. We are sending one of our young U.S. employees (a 25 year-old citizen) to work at this subsidiary. Can this employee continue to contribute to his 401K plan while working overseas?

As far I know yes he can still contibute to his 401K but on the safe side contact your 401K provider, they were probably go into more details for you.
