I am in Montana and our company is looking at the amount of Vacation, Sick and Holiday time that they offer. Does anyone know where I can find some information on what is "normal" to offer? Or does anyone want to share what they offer to employees and what state they are in?

I am in Ohio and my company offers 80 hours PTO to FT and 40 hours to PT ee's. We observe 6 holidays.

Mississippi - private non profit - approx. 150 ee's - 52 week employees get 12 paid holidays,80 hrs annual leave after 1 yr, 24hrs medical after 90 days - 56 each October thereafter, medical carries over...annual must be used within year (a very few folks have been here long enough to 5 weeks annual).

We're a financial institution in South Dakota. FT emps accrue approximately 3 weeks of Paid Leave (PL) (.057692 per hour worked) per year. This is a combination of vacation and sick leave. Part-timers also accrue at that rate but since they work fewer hours, they don't accrue as much.

We observe 11 paid holidays - FT emps get 8 hrs per holiday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday (when we're closed), we pay it out in PL hours.

RI - pre-IPO - 60 ees - we offer 2 weeks vacation accrual to start (3 weeks to "experienced" hires. 9 paid holidays. No formal sick time policy, but practice is unlimited paid sick time for exempt (assuming time is not abused) and no paid sick time for non-exempts. The Radrord Benefits Survey would be a good source to see what is happening in general out in the world.
