What kind of suggestions in regards to health care? You're not going to find much that's "free". Again, focusing on wellness programs that can be measured and analyzed can provide significant ROI, so in that end, I would say they are no cost.

There are a number of benefits that provide benefits to both the employee and the employer. Adding, for example AFLAC, as a completely employee paid benefit will give your employees access to extra coverage. My company offers short-term disability, accident, disease specified, cancer, and life insurance through AFLAC. The added benefit to the employer is a number of these items can be deducted pre-taxes with will decrease the employees taxable earnings and the company will pay less payroll taxes. In addition, we had contacted local vendors and asked if they provided any employee discount programs. While not all vendors did, we were able to provide at no cost a vision discount program and a prescription discount program.

And do you realize that 27 cents on the dollar are paid out in claims for AFLAC? Employers can properly design conventional disability, accident and life programs on the group platform for a fraction of the cost compared to AFLAC. I don't know about you, but I think my employees would be pretty darn happy if I saved them 50% on their premiums and enhanced their coverage.

Check with your local fitness centers/gyms. I know ours gives the local school district employees a discounted rate.

How about a home & auto insurance program, or pet insurance program? Similar to AFLAC, they are paid completely by the employee and they usually receive a discount on their purchase. I have had my auto insurance on payroll deduct for several years and find it quite convenient.

Our company has created an secure online arena for companies to sign up and provide their employees with an online Health Management Interface. We usually focus on employers who want to provide HSA\\HD options, but sponsoring a place that lets employees store their medical records, comparison shop for medical services, track their spending and create a central place for their health information might be something that many would appreciate.

I was wondering why it took so long on this thread, too.
A third party repository for my health information? No thanks, I'll stick with the health care providers I trust, not someone with a computer and a website.

You can offer employees eldercare information at very minimal cost which will help them solve the challenges they have with their eldercare responsibilities (ie: their "second" job that is affecting company productivity.
Ensure the speaker has experience in the for profit as well as the non-profit realm, as the non-profit realm is often handcuffed by funding to "endorse" any for profit that may actually be the best choice depending on a specific situation.
