Can our company require that different employees contribute different %s of the cost of their dependent health care? Our company basically has three tiers, one level (most non-unionized employees) pay ~90% of the dependent health care cost, the next tier (the unionized employees) pay ~65% of their dependent health care cost, and the thrid tier (just a few employees - 10 out of 1,500) pay nothing for their dependent health care costs because the budgeting manager has decided bear the cost internally - usually due to social justice reasons (the employee cannot afford).

The non union/union employer cost difference is ok. The social justice reason is a pick and choose and I believe is not legal. Check with your attorney.
