I am preparing to present my recommendation that our Fund should (after 16 stagnant years with a combined fully & self insured set-up) actually go out to bid and and some competition to the mix -

Agree with MRoberts...every broker I have ever used requires that we sign a letter of intent that they are the broker of record. The carriers won't quote without it. They then take this to all the different carriers. The carrier will then NOT quote you with a different broker. Honestly, I've never seen it done any other way.
