Temporary Assignment+Travel Pay

A non-exempt employee working in Illinois was asked to work a temporary (2 week) assignment that requires him to travel (by use of his personal vehicle) 40 miles more each way to and from the temporary work site than he would normally travel to his regular work site. Are we required to pay this employee for his travel time as time worked? In addition, are we required to pay mileage?
