I have been requested to develop a performance evaluation that can be used for all office staff, (accountant, secretary, and executive assistant). Does anyone have any information on how to develop an evaluation that would be suitable for all these positions, any samples of evaluations for office positions, or where I might go for help?

Thanks so much!

It depeends on what you want, a manual system or a computerized one. There is plenty of budget minded software out there that gives you the information you are looking for, complete with examples of statements to substantiate ratings. I have found SHRM, The Society for Human Resource Management and the AMA, American Management Association, to be helpful in this area. Both have websites.

We use a software program called Performance Now! by KnowledgePoint. It is an easy to learn program, gives good job specific evaluations, and is inexpensive. I've seen it in the G. Neil catalog (800-999-9111) or you could contact KnowledgePoint at 707-762-0333 for other suppliers.
