My company, a quickly growing start-up, has two separate locations. One a new corporate sites and the other is the engineering site. Both are 5 miles apart. How can we maintain communication and still

My company, a quickly growing start-up, has two separate locations. One a new corporate sites and the other is the engineering site. Both are 5 miles apart. How can we maintain communication and still have the feeling of one company?

Email and vmail works wonders. Also, since you are that close, do you ever have to meet with those at the other locations? If so, alternate the locations for the meetings. It's not that far. If that doesn't work, teleconference or phone conference. Organizational newsletters keep everyone up to date on what is going on. Incude things from both locations. Acknowledge birthdays, etc if you are a warm and fuzzy kind of organization. Set up picnics for the summer, joint social events type stuff. There are a hundred plus things that could be done. Ask the employees. See what they would like. That is always a plus plus.
