How would you handle a staffing vendor that has a policy of not providing resumes of prospective temp placements?
There are a number of temp agencies to work with in my area and I'm new to this particular function/responsibility and would appreciate your input. Would you accept their 'test period' or 'working interview' process or move on to another temp agency that does provide resumes? Thank you for your help, Cynthia |

Depends on the position I was trying to fill. If I'm asking them to provide assemblers, I may not care to see a resume, but I'd like some testing on manual dexterity. If I'm looking at a programmer or an engineer, I'd want a resume and a sample of their past work. I've never dealt with a professional or technical staffing service that wouldn't furnish a resume if I asked -- the address and phone number may be expunged, but the background info was furnished gladly.
