Hello,
Can metrics be computated on a monthly basis? I seem to have metrics that are measuring value on a quarterly or yearly basis.
Thank you.

Depends on what the metrics are and what they measure. Some only make sense if they're done annually, others could be computed on a daily basis

Metrics by simple definition can be measured over any period of time you want them to. This could be for a single event or a long term on going activity.
Trending for other than single events is important. What I would recommend is that you track data over a short reasonable period, 1 month for example (I do some every 2 weeks). That becomes your first data point. The next period (1 month) is a second data point and ongoing. Depending upon how your management views data you can report a trend every 3 months, every 6 months, any period you find relevant to what you are trying to accomplish. Even if my management doesn't want to see metrics in the manner I collect them I still keep that metric for management purposes.
Beyond that broad answer we would have to be more specific about what you are tracking and why. I have also done training metrics as well. Forwatrd looking and results focused that are not simply "how many people did I train this week"

I am looking for monthly reports both at the local level and then a higher level report that combines my global teams figures.
My approach for this year's metric removes recruiting, I am focusing on productivity and workforce planning capability for the upturn in the economy.
I have Dr. Sullivan's and Jac Fitz-Enz metrics. However, it is hard to determine which their metrics can be done on a monthly basis.
thank you

Any of their metrics can be done on a monthly basis. You must eventually aggegate them into something to show trends.
