unless you have an employment contract, you have the usual options each of has. Namely,
-Stay and accept with no discussion
-Stay and ask for more info.
-Go based on either what you learn or don't learn.

Of course the more basic question is why would you think you think you have some "entitlement" to more? Expectation of better treatment? Perhaps based on what you have seen previously. But none of us have any entitlement to anything when it comes to the workplace. As has been stated many times in the past we are all free agents and need to understand this at a core level.

Or a fourth option is to resign.

Absent any kind of contract or collective bargaining agreement to the contrary, an employer is free to change job responsibilities at will.

Nork Your fourth option is the same as my third option which is Go based on what you find out or don't find out.

Apologies. I didn't pick up on whether or not it was "go to the new job" or "go find another job"

The way you were treated is a "poor practice" but don't torture yourself with self-doubt. It doesn't necessarily reflect on your job performance, there could be a dozen other reasons why. Just weigh your options and make the best of what you decide to do.

Also keep in mind that a) you still have a job (a good thing in this economy!) and b) if they didn't like you they would not, in all probability, have kept you
