How can I find cases where restaurants have been held liable for violence incidents where patrons have been injured although they were not involved in the violent incident, and due to the negligence of the restaurant's employees actions? |

How you will search for responsive cases depends, in part, on the jurisdiction you are in (or may be in after the commencement of litigation) and the legal theory you are researching. Your posting suggests to me a straight negligence theory, where the plaintiff would seek to hold the restaraunt liable for the alleged negligence of its employees. An additional/alternative theory could be that the restaurant negligently hired the employee-- for example, if the employee was involved in an intentional tort.
