We use Validex. Their website is at www.validex.com. Our representative is Rick Martz and his number is 800-362-3201. An attorney that I know does work for them and she is excellent. She said she is very impressed with them. They are very knowledgable about the FCRA laws and are a leader in the field. They do not use databases. Be careful about companies that say they can turnaround data in 24 hours. There is no national or regional database that is kept up to date. In fact, there is no law that requires each county in a state to report their information to the state.
For example, the State of IN indicates their information is at least 13 months behind. We do a SSN trace and 7-year county criminal (hand search) check. The cost is the same whether or not the individual lived in one county or 10 counties. We can enter data over the web and get results back there as well. Three full business days is the turnaround time. The price is based on # of checks done each year and the type of check you want to do (county only, 7-year county, etc.). I think our cost is very, very reasonable. Good luck. |
