Is it legal to work 9 days in a row with out a day off? I work for the NHS in my local hospital. Im contracted to work 37.5 hrs a wk and my shifts consist of earlies(7am-3pm) and lates (1:30pm-9:30pm)

Dotty, if you'd bothered to spend a minute or two looking around this site, you'd have discovered the following:
1. It's for HR professionals and workforce managers, not employees. 2. It's American. As you may know, American employment law is vastly different from UK employment law. As a result, I suggest you try posting your question on the UK employment law site, www.personneltoday.com. |

If you're angry because we didn't answer your questions, please be reminded that while we understand that UK employment law is very different from US employment law, our actual knowledge of UK law is nil. As a result, we are simply not able to answer your questions.
