We have an employee who has given resignation to join the navy. I understand the USERRA protecton offered to uniformed services memebers. My question is are we required to offer any type of leave for their uniformed services instead of terminating employment. please advise.

I would encourage you to explain the benefits of USERRA to this employee as they may not understand its benefit. Document this conversation then let the individual decide if they want to resign or be placed on a USERRA related LOA.
