I was recently terminated for theft. However, the theft was not of company merchandise or supplies. The theft was of another individuals stuff, on company grounds. Does my employer have grounds for termination?

I don't believe you have to ask this question. You stole something on company grounds. You were terminated. The company did the right thing. You did not do the right thing.

hrbth I didn't know the emoticon for a look of absolute audacity so I simply got verbose. "Wow" works too. It would appear we have another poster child for wierd things in the workplace.

On another forum I am on (not HR related), the common quote is :

"Wow, just wow!"

It always does amaze me what people do that they think they can't get terminated for....especially blatant bad behavior!
