I am always going to be one of those people who let things stress me out occasionally, especially something like this. I don't need to rethink my career choice - I know myself well enough to know that it will bother me, I'll move on and that I can not make emotional decisions.

I would suggest that you and your counsel review the following document published by the EEOC, which I believe answers your question: "Policy Guidance on the Consideration of Arrest Records in Employment Decisions under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
