Shortened work week
Discuss employment-law issues such as family leave, overtime, disabilities law, harassment, immigration and termination.
It's been a while since I've seen anything on this topic so I thought I ask. Are you aware of any legal ramifications from reducing an exempt staff member's pay and shortening the work week?

I think it is okay to reduce pay/shorten the work week as long as it is a long term arrangement. You can't for example only pay 4/5 of the salary because John or Suzy did not work on Monday.
If it is a longer term (e.g. 3 month) arrangement due to business needs this is OK to do as long as the salary still is above the $455 requirement
