I'd like to get other member answer and opinion for the following points. As my experience (in Indonesia) the company tend to become unstructure to promote employee ( I've worked 2 yrs in American Company and 4 yrs in British Company). This become employees bargain item before they leave company. And the company does't have other choice since the qualified manpower to fulfill the position are quate rare, in addition to, there is no standardized procedures . The further impact is organisation chart iseasily changed to ajust such requirement and arouse jealousy/grumbling for others. My question is what the essence of promotion actually ? When and how this will be the most effective way, according your opinion, to grow the Company as well as the employee. Have you exempale of a standard promotion procedure ?
