We are looking into updating our Exit Interview questionairre to see what we can do to keep our employees happy. Can anyone please provide some questions that they found helpful in seeing why people are leaving? Also, any effective ways to get the feedback returned from exiting employees would also be very helpful. |

Exit interviews are only as good as they are conducted. If you aren't going to listen to the reasons why people are leaving then don't conduct them. You will just be wasting your time and company resources. Management has to take the knowledge they gain from the exit interviews and use it in a manner that allows them to find the root cause of the problems and address them in a timely manner. Remember the key to exit interviews is how the information gathered is used and creditability of the source collecting it. If you are having a person conduct the exit interview that can not relate to the workers leaving then all of your information is bais and useless. give me a call and I would be happy to discuss what I have learned over the years.
