My suggestion would be to design and implement a successful presentation for "Job Fairs". Every mid to large city has them periodically throughout the year. There a many, many unskilled people out there willing to work for minimum wage if someone will just give them a chance. A good source would be to contact your local workforce agency and/or welfare agency. Most of them have programs in place for the placement of people with little or no experience. Depending on the extent of their programs, many of them will train the people in the basic skills necessary. Give it a try. |

Hold on! First off, dollar figures aren't the only important thing here, people nowadays look at the entire benefits package. There are many programs you can offer to employees at little or no cost to the company. Also take a look at your policy on intercompany promotions and training.
A single mother of three is willing to work for minimum wage if you can also offer her Educational assistance, skills training, child care help, cheap health insurance, etc. If you are willing to show these people that you will do what it takes to help them, they will become the most valuable asset to the company. |

There is a company that specializes in the minimum wage candidate. www.gotajob.com I do not know what type of positions you are trying to fill but they can be a start. It is very inexpensive. |
