is awful and not at all a good source of executive talent.
Don't waste your time with small players or contingency firms trying to pretend that they're effective in executive search. If you're in a start-up company that needs great talent, go with one of the bigger executive search firms like Korn Ferry, Heidrich&Struggles, etc. |

I shouldn't have posted that Management Recruiters is awful. In many situations, they're a good source of talent. I have had some problems in the past with them, but to categorically state that all MR offices are awful was a bit much.
I will maintain, however, that a nationwide executive search firm such as those mentioned above is a better source of high quality executive talent than MR or, for that matter, any local retained search/contingency firm. |
