We use the QWIZ package and test our applicants on Windows '95. We asked management to test themselves on a variety of applications and what we found is that the Windows '95 skills test is suitable for our call center needs. We do not, however, have a test that evaluates the applicant while on the phone. We have an intensive, 3 week training program that covers that area.

We've just recently purchased a software program and we are in the benchmarking stages right now. We believe that this program is going to test several items for us: computer skills, customer service skills, listening, writing and all of the above. The program is fairly expensive however if you way out what you spending to recruit and retain it definately pays for itself. If you'd like the name of the software or wish to talk more about it, please feel free to email me at BLoafman@PSCU.net and I'd be happy to share the information with you.

My name is Ruth McCurdy and I am a consultant and trainer to the staffing industry. I have seen many systems but one that I am most impressed with is OPAC. All of the testing is done on live applications vs. simulated. The person to contact at OPAC is Adam Agard. His email address is Adam@OPAC.com. If you'd like to contact me I can be reached through my email address ruth@mentoraction.com or by phone 713-690-4400.
